The NFL season kicks off on Thursday and some fans are outraged over the new social media promo that the league released.

In the nearly 30-second clip posted to X, formerly Twitter, singer Taylor Swift appears five times.

Swift, who is dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, appears in the ad more than any other player in the league. This also includes Kelce.

“Stop showing Taylor Swift, we don’t care,” one user wrote.

“Genuine question, why is Taylor Swift shown more times in this video than anyone in your actual league?” asked another.

“No CJ Stroud? The Offensive Rookie of the Year? But y’all gonna show Travis Kelce’s girl 5 times?” another user pointed out.

Several major NFL stars were left out entirely, including quarterbacks the Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow and Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers.

However former NFL player, league commentator and CBS host Nate Burleson defended the league’s choice of featuring the “Bad Blood” singer.

“Get out of your feelings,” he exclaimed to the camera. “Oh, are you upset? You’re a little mad because Taylor Swift is in the promo? Who cares! Wipe the drool off your tank top, put some pants on, and get out of your mama’s basement. I don’t understand what the big deal is. Every other sport can show celebrities at the game. We show Taylor Swift and you get in your feels! Man, get out of your feelings and watch the game.”

Week 1 of the NFL begins on Thursday when the Chiefs host the Baltimore Ravens. Kick-off is at 5:20 p.m.
