While other fast-food chains are doubling down on chicken, Arby’s is turning its attention to steak.
The brand known for “having the meats” has debuted a first-of-its-kind item: Steak Nuggets. Arby’s describes the new menu item as “tender, hand-cut pieces of steak seasoned with garlic and pepper for a smoky, savory flavor.”
The nuggets are seared and smoked, designed for easy, on-the-go eating.
“Who doesn’t love tender and savory steak? But until now, it’s been inconvenient to eat, particularly on the go,” Jeff Baker, Arby’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “That’s why we created this new innovative product.”
Arby’s Steak Nuggets can be enjoyed three ways:
- Steak Nuggets entrée: 5- or 9-piece servings, with Hickory BBQ sauce.
- Steak Nugget Sandwich: Steak Nuggets with Havarti cheese, crispy onions, tangy pickles, and mayo on a toasted bun.
- Steak Nugget Bowl: Steak Nuggets served over creamy white cheddar mac and cheese, topped with crispy onions.
Steak Nuggets are available now for a limited time at Arby’s locations nationwide.
Other fast-food brands, such as Taco Bell and McDonald’s, have expanded their chicken offerings as part of a broader shift in consumer demand.
