Gayle Anderson reports The Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College shines bright this holiday season during its enchanting holiday light event.
This winter lights experience is built around a self-guided stroll throughout the Zoo filled with dynamic larger-than-life light installations, interactive displays, fabulous photo ops, and seasonal magic.
Santa Claus stops by for visits on Nov. 29, Dec. 6 and Dec. 20. Families can visit with Santa and take photos, but no photos are offered for purchase.
On select nights guests can sweeten the experience with optional add-on cookie and cupcake decorating classes beginning Nov. 30 and Dec. 7, 14, 21.
Please note: This is not an animal centered event, some of the animals enjoy the lights and some just sleep through the night.
