3 Southern California suspects arrested for string of retail thefts

Three suspects were arrested for a string of retail thefts across Southern California.

The suspects were identified by the Irvine Police Department as:


On March 31, the trio targeted a Grocery Outlet store as a female suspect distracted an employee while a male suspect stole medication from store shelves. The third suspect was waiting in a getaway car.

When the employee confronted them, the male suspect shoved the worker and fled the scene.

Police were notified and began investigating. They were later spotted in Oceanside after allegedly committing another theft. 

All three suspects were taken into custody. Inside their vehicle, police found a large amount of stolen property including health and beauty products, medication and more.

Investigators determined the trio was responsible for at least five retail thefts across Orange and San Diego counties earlier that day.

All three were arrested for robbery, conspiracy, and organized retail theft and were booked into the Orange County Jail.
