Body found at bottom of cliff in Palos Verdes Estates

Authorities are investigating after a body was found at the bottom of a cliff in Palos Verdes Estates.

On Aug. 30, Los Angeles County Fire Department crews responded to the 1400 block of Paseo Del Mar shortly before 10 a.m.

Witnesses reported the body appeared to be a male, however, authorities have not confirmed the person’s identity.

Photos from the scene showed rescue crews arriving near the cliffside as they worked to remove the body. 

Officials from the L.A. County Coroner responded to the scene to transport the body for further investigation and to determine the cause of death.

No further details, including how long the body may have been there or whether foul play was involved, were provided. The incident remains under investigation.
