Investigators are searching for clues in a cold case to help identify a man who was found murdered in Inglewood.

On Feb. 19, 1991, authorities discovered the man’s body in a dumpster and partially hidden under trash and debris. The dumpster was located in an alleyway near a residential area, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

He appeared to be a white male between 55 to 75 years old. He was 6 feet tall and weighed around 155 pounds, with receding brown hair and a brown mustache.

“The victim had several scars that were believed to be from past surgeries regarding damage to the interior chest cavity, potentially related to a past traffic accident,” FBI officials said.

He had a scar on his left chest, a scar on the right side of his back and several moles on his abdomen. He was also found wearing a unique belt, which authorities included in a sketch.

The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and no suspect has been arrested. The victim did not have any personal belongings to help detectives identify him.
