The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health ordered the temporary closure of dozens of restaurants and markets for failing to meet state health and safety standards between July 23- Sept. 3, 2025.

Public health inspections focus on practices such as maintaining safe food temperatures, proper food handling, employee hygiene, and keeping facilities clean and free of vermin. In these reports, “vermin” typically refers to rodents, cockroaches, flies, and ants.
