WeHo Pride is officially underway!
Celebrations started Friday and the famous pride parade is scheduled for Sunday, but there is plenty to do on Saturday in West Hollywood as well.
Among the most prominent of festivities is the OUTLOUD Music Festival, headlined this year by Lizzo, Kim Petras, Remi Wolf, Honey Dijon and Paris Hilton. Friday’s acts included Maren Morris, Qveen Herby and Jamie Fine.
More information, including a link to buy passes, is available here.
Also on Saturday are the WeHo Pride Street Fair, the Women’s Freedom Festival and the Dyke March.
The street fair, which also took place on Friday along Santa Monica Boulevard between Hancock and La Peer drives, features live performances, community group booths, hands-on activities and entertainment for all ages. More details can be found here.
The Freedom Festival, which runs from noon to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, features emerging LGBTQ and BIPOC women and non-binary musicians, comedians, poets and activists. More information on the free event can be found here.
The Dyke March is WeHo Pride’s annual motorcycle-led march along Santa Monica Boulevard that will take place immediately after the Women’s Freedom Festival. Click here for more information.
Multiple local street and facility closures are in effect, and there is an increased law enforcement presence in the area surrounding West Hollywood Park and the Rainbow District to ensure safe celebrations.
KTLA 5 is the official broadcaster of the WeHo Pride Parade. Live coverage of the procession will be hosted by Megan Henderson, Melvin Robert and red carpet expert Nick Verrios and starts streaming live on KTLA, digital-release.ktla.com and KTLA+ starting at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
If you miss the live coverage, KTLA will be airing the WeHo Pride Parade Primetime special at 8 p.m.
