KTLA is your ROSE PARADE PRESENTED BY HONDA station. Gayle Anderson explores the Rose Parade Floats under construction and decoration at Phoenix Decorating Company in Irwindale. Gayle Anderson continues our series of reports spotlighting the 2025 Rose Parade Floats featuring the 2025 theme BEST DAY EVER!

Gayle explores the Irwindale warehouse of the Phoenix Decorating Company, which is building 17 of the 2025 Rose Parade Floats.

Gayle gives us a “sneak peek” of the under-construction floats created for Lions International and Elks USA.

The Lions International 2025 float titled “Celebrating a Day of Service” for its 34th Rose Parade appearance.

The float, created by Phoenix Decorating Company, showcases four cheerful lion cubs according to Lions International’s official parade description.

Lions International’s description details that the cubs’ bodies will be crafted from tan ground oats, while their manes and tails will showcase a combination of crème and dark crème pampas grass.

Two of the cubs will wear eyeglasses, representing Lions International’s worldwide commitment to vision care, while the other pair will display the organization’s traditional gold-and-blue vests.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE), founded in 1868 with nearly 800,000 members, is a patriotic organization dedicated to strengthening communities through charitable initiatives, veteran support and youth programs. Their 2025 Rose Parade float, “Cherished Memories,” highlights children’s impactful experiences at Elks Camps across the U.S., where underserved and medically challenged children build independence and confidence at no cost to their families.

The float features children mountain biking above a floral waterfall, canoeing and crossing a 20-foot suspension bridge, all under the watchful eye of a majestic elk in a forest habitat. An American eagle perches above, while a signpost directs campers to various outdoor activities, symbolizing adventure, and growth.

The float reflects the Elks’ ongoing commitment to community service, youth development, and veteran support, with all funding coming from the generosity of Elks members and their families rather than government assistance.
