Newly created bike lanes in Hollywood are causing consternation for cyclists, pedestrians and the council member who helped get them installed.

The lanes on Hollywood Boulevard are impacted by nearby homeless encampments, which residents say spill debris onto the bike lanes, endangering cyclists.

Furthermore, pedestrians seeking to avoid the encampments walk into the bike lanes, endangering the cyclists and themselves.

KTLA reached out to Councilman Hugo Soto-Martinez, who represents the area, for comment, but his office did not immediately respond.
