Gayle Anderson reports that, Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, is International / National Dog Day, observed annually on Aug. 26 to honor all dogs – no matter shapes, sizes, age and breeds – and to encourage adoption to all those who have yet to find a home and a family forever.

Autotrader.com reports that once we have our “forever friend,” it is important to be sure they have safe vehicle travel. In the article “Celebrating National Dog Day with Travel Safety Tips,” the Autotrader.com publication lists dos and don’ts, tools and accessories, and vehicles appropriate for big, medium, and small dogs. According to Autotrader.com, Subaru and Nissan have a good selection of “dog-friendly” vehicles.
