WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?
On February 26, 2024, Radiologic Medical Services, P.C. became aware of suspicious activity related to an employee email account. The organization immediately launched an investigation with the help of external cybersecurity experts. Through this investigation, it was determined that two employee email accounts were accessed by an unauthorized third party between February 22, 2024, and March 19, 2024. RMS conducted a thorough data review and completed the process on September 13, 2024, identifying affected individuals.
The impacted data may include personally identifiable information such as names with Social Security number, payment account information, and government-issued identification numbers (e.g., driver's license or passport number) and protected health information such as medical records and health insurance information.
On November 12, 2024, RMS reported the breach to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services ("HHS") and posted a notice of the incident to its website. Notification letters were mailed to impacted individuals beginning October 6, 2025.Compensation may be available for those individuals who receive notice that their sensitive personal information was compromised.
