A lucky Lottery player in Temecula is millions of dollars richer after stopping at a gas station to buy a California State Riches scratcher.

John Green is taking home “a whopping $5,000,000” after buying the scratcher at an ARCO station on Winchester Road, the California Lottery announced late last week.

Green wasn’t the only California Lottery player to take home at least $1 million playing popular Scratchers games.

Monica Mazariegos uncovered a cool $2 million on an Instant Prize Crossword she purchased at Code 66 Smoke Shop in Fullerton, and Mamikon Zakaryan won the same amount playing the same game on a scratcher bought at Dales Jr. Liquors in Hollywood.

Jose Lopez also won $2 million with an Instant Prize Crossword ticket from T Mart in Castroville, and Foad Ishak completed the list of new $2 million Instant Prize Crossword winners with a ticket from Copper Lamp Liquor in Monrovia.

Earlier this month, a Powerball ticket purchased in Orange County struck a $44 million jackpot.

Lottery officials said the winning ticket was purchased at the Ralphs supermarket in Dana Point.
