Armed robbers used an AK-47 to rob a convenience store in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. when a red car parked in front of a 7-Eleven store in the 22800 block of Saticoy Street in the Canoga Park area and three masked suspects got out.

Surveillance video shared with KTLA showed the suspects dressed in black inside the store. One suspect could be seen holding the assault rifle and then pointing it at the clerk.

The armed robber demanded cash as the other two suspects took snacks, alcohol, cigarettes and water from the store.

A fourth suspect was waiting in the car outside, which fled the location with the robbers after the incident.

The clerk, who did not want to be identified, said he felt lucky to be alive.

Police are searching for the robbers; no suspect descriptions were immediately released.
