The lucky owner of a Powerball ticket purchased in Orange County, California won the $44 million jackpot in Monday night’s drawing.

Lottery officials said the winning ticket was purchased at the Ralphs supermarket at 32555 Golden Lantern in Dana Point.

No further details about the owner of the winning ticket were revealed. The winner will have the choice between an annuitized prize of $44.3 million or a lump sum payment of $21.9 million, Powerball officials said. Both prize options are before taxes.

If the winner selects annual payments, they will receive one immediate payout followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year

The numbers from the drawing were 1, 2, 15, 23 and 28 with a Powerball of 10.

On Friday, a Mega Millions ticket worth more than $1M was sold at Pavilions Place supermarket in Newport Beach.

The ticket didn’t win the jackpot but matched five numbers for a value of $1,016,356.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 p.m.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Power Ball is 1 in 292,201,338.
