A man suspected of stealing from sleeping passengers aboard a Metrolink was arrested in Acton Tuesday night.

The suspect allegedly targeted two sleeping passengers on train 227 from Los Angeles to Lancaster as it was heading to the Vincent Grade station in Acton around 8:45 p.m.

“He was a homeless man or something like that walking around on the train with a liquor bottle and going from train to train to train … and then the homeless man ended up taking someone’s bag and then fighting with them with their bag … he went downstairs and stole from another little boy,” one witness said.

The spokesperson said deputies at the scene believed the suspect may have been intoxicated.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
