Two acquaintances of a man found shot to death in a Hesperia dirt field have been arrested in connection with his murder, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Aaron Neal, 19, was found “deceased with obvious signs of trauma” just after 6:45 a.m. Monday in a field near the intersection of Sultana Street and Escondido Avenue, authorities said in a news release.

Investigators tied Hesperia residents Demetrial Richine Tyler, 21, and Elaina Nicole Norman, 20, “who were known to Neal,” to the killing, and they were arrested at Tyler’s home, authorities said.

Deputies did not disclose a possible motive for the attack.

Norman is being held without bail at the West Valley Detention Center and is due to appear in Victorville Superior Court on Thursday for a murder charge.

Tyler, whose first name is listed in jail records as Demetriel, is being held at the High Desert Detention Facility in lieu of $2 million bail. He also faces a murder charge and is due to appear in Victorville Superior Court on Thursday.
