After Thursday’s draw for the league phase of the 2025–26 Champions League, UEFA have now confirmed the dates for all eight rounds of fixtures

Arsenal begin their campaign away to Athletic Club before welcoming Olympiacos and Atlético Madrid to the Emirates Stadium. There are tough tests against Bayern Munich and Inter but Gunners fans will be glad to see a comparatively kind end to the league phase against Kairat Almaty.

As for Chelsea, the Blues face the daunting task of beginning their league phase away at Bayern Munich. Benfica, Ajax and Barcelona are all due at Stamford Bridge before what could be a tense finale against Napoli.

Napoli are Manchester City’s opening opponents, and Pep Guardiola’s side will feature in one of the headline fixtures of this stage when they travel to face Real Madrid on Matchday Six.

City are not the only Premier League threat to Real Madrid, who face Liverpool at Anfield in November five weeks earlier. Los Blancos end the phase away at Benfica.

Liverpool have their own tough fixtures to navigate. Atlético Madrid are first on the schedule and Inter also feature on Matchday Six, but Arne Slot will be confident of ending with a win at home to Qarabağ.

Barcelona’s meeting with Newcastle United is among the star fixtures of the first matchday, and things do not get easier for Hansi Flick’s side when they take on Paris Saint-Germain. The defending La Liga champions must also take on Chelsea on Matchday Five.
