The Green Bay Packers traded for Micah Parsons on Thursday, acquiring the star pass rusher in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first round picks. It was a huge move for the Packers on the eve of a season where they were already expected to compete for a playoff spot.

The one question Green Bay fans had after the trade was about Parsons's back. He had sat out training camp and jumped on a flight looking for a second opinion the day before the trade was announced. Was it all for show or was there really something wrong with his back that the Packers should be concerned about?

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport had an update on Friday that should calm the Packers faithful.

"If there was ever any doubt from the Green Bay Packers whether or not he would pass the physical after not participating in training camp," said Rapoport on The Insiders. "He just passed one. I assume he went to go see Dr. Watkins, one of the experts in backs. He was in LA. That's where one of the specialists is if the Packers ever wondered about his health, they probably got a pretty good read there. Which just so happened to be while the two sides were negotiating Micah Parsons's contract while the Packers knew they had a deal with the Dallas Cowboys, and they also now know Micah Parsons has a clean bill of health."

The Packers open their season on Sept. 7 against the Detroit Lions. They then play the Commanders on Thursday Night Football. In Week 4 they'll face the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

If Parsons has been experiencing any bask discomfort, it will certainly be cleared up by then.
