In 2025, more than 316,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. This, as breast cancer remains one of the most common forms of cancer in women in the nation, affecting one in every eight. Despite that, and recent upticks in breast cancer prevalence in women under 50, there do appear signs of hope, as the 5-year survival rate is now 99% for the disease. As this Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end, Micah Ohlman and Sandra Mitchell are joined by Dr. Omid Bendavid, breast imaging expert and founder of Premiere Women's Imaging. Dr. Bendavid discusses advancing technologies that assist with detection, warning signs for the disease, and the biggest misconceptions. October 28, 2025.
