Hundreds of law enforcement and fire personnel from across Southern California joined in a solemn procession to honor Deputy Andrew Nunez after he was fatally shot while responding to a domestic violence call in Rancho Cucamonga. Nunez, a six-year veteran of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, was airlifted to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect fled on a motorcycle, leading officers on a dangerous 210 Freeway chase. Nunez is remembered as a devoted father, husband, and committed deputy who served his community with courage and compassion. Authorities continue to search for the suspect, who faces serious charges.

A felony suspect is in custody after a dangerous high-speed chase that began in Los Angeles and ended in Ontario, where California Highway Patrol units boxed in the damaged vehicle. The suspect was seen driving the wrong way on the 60 Freeway before turning around and continuing to flee, with sparks flying as the car ran on two rims. CHP officers surrounded the vehicle and made the arrest without injury. The pursuit, captured live by Sky5, remains under investigation.
