The Los Angeles Police Department is looking for a hit-and-run driver who seriously hurt a 30-year-old man in Winnetka Thursday evening.

The man, whose name has not been released, was walking across Vanowen Street near the intersection with De Soto Avenue when a dark-colored sedan with tinted windows heading east hit him, police said in a news release.

After the collision, which occurred at about 5:30 p.m., the sedan’s driver kept going and did not stop to help or identify themselves.

The severely injured pedestrian was taken by the Los Angeles Fire Department to a local hospital for treatment. His exact injuries were not disclosed.

A reward of up to $25,000 is available for information leading to the driver’s criminal conviction or restitution through a civil settlement.
