The blaze was being driven south by strong winds and threatened to cross Burbank Boulevard, a post on the California fire incident website stated.

Officials initially indicated the fire had burned 75 acres but reduced its burn area to 30 acres in an update just before 9 a.m.

“Firefighters are still working diligently to contain the fire and protect structures in the affected area,” officials stated.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The Woodley Fire ignited as crews were already working on two major incidents including the Palisades Fire, which erupted Tuesday morning and burned 1,000 structures in the Pacific Palisades area.

The Eaton Fire was reported Tuesday evening near Altadena and has burned more than 2,000 acres.

Officials confirmed during a Wednesday morning news conference that two citizens died in the Eaton Fire and “a number” of significant injuries have been reported.
