A suspect remains at large after a man was found stabbed in Ventura County.

On April 15, Fillmore Station deputies responded to reports of several people fighting on the 400 block of Mountain View Street in Fillmore at 2:22 p.m.

Arriving deputies found the victim, identified only as an adult male from Fillmore, suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect who stabbed him had fled the scene before authorities arrived.

Detectives are investigating the attack and are asking for the public’s help to locate the person responsible. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to the suspect’s identification and arrest.

“The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank members of the public for their ongoing support and due diligence in providing information to assist our agency in solving crimes,” the sheriff’s department said. “We are better at what we do because of our community partnerships.”
