A 5-year-old boy and a woman were killed, while four others were hospitalized after a Ventura County crash.
On July 2, deputies responded to a collision on Ventura Street, just west of D Street, in Fillmore around 8:45 p.m., according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said two vehicles had collided head-on in the westbound lanes. Paramedics found six people injured at the scene where a 34-year-old Oxnard woman was pronounced dead.
Five others were taken to local hospitals for treatment. A 5-year-old boy from Fillmore later died from his injuries.
Details are limited and the circumstances leading up to the deadly crash remain under investigation.
