A $20,000 reward is being offered for information as a hit-and-run suspect who killed a motorcyclist in Lynwood remains at large.

On Sept. 27, 2024, Elijah Long, 42, of Lynwood, was riding his motorcycle northbound on Atlantic Avenue when a speeding silver/light blue Toyota sedan driving southbound made a left turn onto Arlington Avenue and crashed into Long’s motorcycle around 9:20 a.m., authorities said.

Long was killed on impact. The suspect continued speeding away from the scene. No further descriptions about the driver were released.

“Anyone careless and cruel enough to leave the scene after a deadly crash in broad daylight does not belong behind the wheel of a car,” said L.A. County Supervisor Janice Hahn. “Elijah’s death has left his dad and siblings shattered. We need the public’s help to identify this driver and bring them to justice.”
