It’s the holiday season and Mariah Carey has found herself back in a very familiar spot.
Her 30-year-old holiday hit, “All I Want for Christmas is You” is once again the number one song in the country for the 15th week. The first time this happened was in 2019 and it’s gone to hit number one every December since.
To honor the occasion, Carey literally received her flowers during her show in North Carolina on Monday night.

A video posted on Instagram captured the moment when the songwriter learned of the major achievement.
“We just found out, ‘All I Want for Christmas’ is number one on the Billboard Hot 100!” a member of her band revealed to a shocked Carey onstage. Her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, then presented her with hugs and a large bouqet.
“Last night on stage in Raleigh, North Carolina, I found out that ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ returned to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100,” she wrote in the caption. “I couldn’t have dreamed of a better time or place to celebrate the news than on stage with my amazing fans, my kids and my #Christmastime tour family. I love you and am so grateful to you all.”
Billboard also noted that Carey’s hit was also certified 16x Platinum by the RIAA this week as well.
The five-time Grammy winner is currently on her Christmastime Tour. It’s set to wrap up on Dec. 17 in Brooklyn, New York.
