College students know the dreadful feeling.
You order food after a long night out, but fall asleep before it gets to your door. Then, you wake up to a sad, soggy bag containing an hours-old burger and fries and a flat soda.
Fear not though, as Grubhub has come up with a solution just in time for one of the biggest late-night weekends of the year: Halloween.
The food delivery service has come up with Grubhub Snooze Insurance, which is exactly what it sounds like: a do-over meal for sleepy college students.
Apparently, it’s a more common problem than you might think; Grubhub surveyed more than a thousand students and found that 72% of them admitted to missing a late-night delivery order – which is what prompted them to offer the deal.
“It’s basically a second chance for the meals that didn’t make it past your power nap,” Grubhub explained in a press release. “Because sometimes you just can’t make it to ‘I’ve arrived with your order’.”

The Grubhub Snooze Insurance deal’s first codes will drop on Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, and they will continue to be released every Saturday through Nov. 1.
To get a code, students must text “DELIVERY” to 1-844-954-OOPS (6677) every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. PT for $15 off their do-over meal. Codes are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
All you need to qualify for this special do-over deal is to be a member of Grubhub+ Student, which is available at more than 400 campuses across the country.
“We know the drill: students get a late-night craving, place the Grubhub order, and then between studying, a late-night hang, or one too many episodes of their favorite show, the couch wins and sleep sneaks in,” said Christopher Krautler, the director of Grubhub consumer communications. “Grubhub Snooze Insurance isn’t about judgment; it’s about understanding that college life runs on its own schedule. If anyone deserves a second chance at getting that midnight fix, it’s students juggling academics, social life, and sleep.”
Again, this offer is only available for college students, so if you were born before 2006 – which is likely most people reading this article – then you probably won’t be able to access this deal, so send this to a college student you know. They will thank you later.
