Marathon Burger is doubling up, opening its second location in Venice this Saturday.

Founded by Samiel “Blacc Sam” Asghedom — brother of the late rapper Nipsey Hussle — the burger spot will serve smash-style burgers near the iconic basketball courts and Muscle Beach, according to Eater L.A.

Asghedom told the publication that it will serve a pared-down menu at its Venice location. Customers can still enjoy smash burgers, hot wings, and a vegan patty, but won’t be able to get salads, mushroom burgers, and milkshakes in hopes of eliminating long lines.

Marathon Burger will also debut a new double cheeseburger with grilled onions, lettuce, Fresno peppers, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and a proprietary sauce. Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. until noon, and ice cream will be available daily.

Hussle launched the Marathon brand, encompassing music, fashion, entertainment, and restaurants, in 2010. He was actively working to open more businesses in Los Angeles until his murder in 2019.
