The Marconi Automotive Museum and Foundation for Kids prepares for two important community events. First, Sunday, August 3rd, there is the museum’s OPEN HOUSE from 10am to 2pm. This event brings together car enthusiasts, philanthropists, and our community.  Enjoy FREE ADMISSION with them to celebrate more than 30 years of giving via the Marconi Foundation for Kids!

The museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was established in 1994 by Dick and John Marconi. They donated the building and their multi-million-dollar car collection to form the Marconi Foundation for Kids.

Among the cars on display are famous movie and TV vehicles such as the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard, the Batmobile and more.  Racers and other fine collectibles are on view.

For 30 years, organizers have used the automotive museum to generate money for children’s charities and organizations throughout Orange County. It supports organizations such as Beyond Blindness, Olive Crest, Orange County Rescue Mission, Covenant House California, KidWorks, Jessie Rees Foundation, Thomas House Family Shelter and many more!

Saturday, September 13th, 2025, the Marconi Automotive Museum and Foundation for Kids is having the 22 TO ZERO GALA beginning at 5pm. This fundraiser supports the PATRIOTIC SERVICE DOG FOUNDATION, which is a non-profit organization that provides service dogs to military and first responder veterans at little to no cost. Their mission is to support veterans with long-term mental and physical assistance by pairing them with trained service dogs. PSDF also raises awareness about the needs of veterans and the benefits of service dogs.

“22 to zero” refers to the goal of reducing the number of veteran suicides per day from an estimated 22 to zero. The “22” represents the number of veterans lost to suicide daily, a statistic that gained prominence in 2013. (22zero.org/suicide-prevention)
