The award-winning Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles is preparing for its 17th Annual Season Finale Concert at The Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall tomorrow, Sunday, July 20, 2025, with a featured guest performance by singer and Grammy-nominated songwriter Sheléa. The event marks the conclusion of ICYOLA’s 17th performance season and celebrates the remarkable talent and dedication of its young musicians. Tickets are now on sale.
Returning to The Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles after a glorious performance during the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Mahlerthon event, this season’s finale promises an unforgettable afternoon of orchestral music and entertainment. Performances will not only feature the exceptional youth orchestra and drum corps but also a tribute to the late Quincy Jones and the Black Divas of Soul. Also, the concert will include a lineup of performances from the drum corps, beginning education program, and a new composition written by ICYOLA members. The new composition, “Elements,” was born from a collaboration between the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) and ICYOLA, written by members of the orchestra alongside LACO composition mentors, and will be performed by fellows from the LACO Fellowship and the ICYOLA Orchestra.

New at Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County the exhibition “FIERCE! THE STORY OF CATS!” From saber tooths to household kitty cats, the exhibit explores their unique behaviors, evolution, biology, and deep connection with humans.
Spanning continents and the ages, FIERCE! includes interactive displays, hands-on activities that will get you thinking like a cat, cultural objects, a nod to cats in pop culture, and a special focus on iconic cats of Los Angeles.
This exhibition making its West Coast debut, offers an up-close-and-personal experience that highlights the beauty, diversity, and predatory skills of felines, and illuminates the importance of protecting the world’s wild cats and their habitats.
