The wildfires have the public wanting to donate to charities to help the wildfire victims. To avoid donating to a scam, Gayle Anderson reports the nonprofit veteran-led organization Team Rubicon, is a CHARITY NAVIGATOR FOUR STAR (charitynavigator.org) LEGITIMATE CHARITY as well as a GUIDESTAR PLATINUM DESIGNATED CHARITY (guidestar.org/search).

Team Rubicon is based in Los Angeles, so it is mobilized to support official agencies and well as people who have lost their homes and have damaged property. It has 1,500 hundred volunteers ready to go into the disaster zones with police and firefighters to provide disaster relief FREE OF CHARGE!

The veterans of this organization are an experienced disaster response team currently working to help the survivors of disasters in five states: the disasters resulting from Hurricanes Helene and Milton as well as the fire destruction of Lahaina, Hawaii.

It’s important know this organization IS NOT A SCAM GROUP. Anyone can check its reputation on charity navigator.org and guidestar.org as well as donate to an organization that does not receive any funding. It relies solely on donations to obtain the equipment and supplies needed to respond to disasters of all kinds.
