New at Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County the exhibition “FIERCE! THE STORY OF CATS!” From saber tooths to household kitty cats, the exhibit explores their unique behaviors, evolution, biology, and deep connection with humans.
Spanning continents and the ages, FIERCE! includes interactive displays, hands-on activities that will get you thinking like a cat, cultural objects, a nod to cats in pop culture, and a special focus on iconic cats of Los Angeles.
This exhibition making its West Coast debut, offers an up-close-and-personal experience that highlights the beauty, diversity, and predatory skills of felines, and illuminates the importance of protecting the world’s wild cats and their habitats.

Next door to the Natural History Museum, DOGS! A SCIENCE TAIL, an immersive 7,000 – 9,000-square-foot exhibition that explores the bond between humans and dogs. We learn where dogs came from, how dogs experience the world, what makes our bond so special, and how to care for dogs. Immersive experiences invite guests to see, hear, smell, and think like a dog! Guests will have opportunities to see real dogs, pretend to be dogs, and share their favorite dog photos and videos in the exhibit.

Also, in Exposition Park, a spaceship?! No! That’s the new Lucas Museum of Narrative Art co-founded by filmmaker, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, George Lucas, best known for creating the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises, and investor, businesswoman and financial educator, Mellody Hobson.
Lucas Museum is under construction in Los Angeles Exposition Park, is an 11-acre campus with extensive new green space designed to embrace the museum’s 300,000-square-foot building, which will feature expansive galleries, two state-of-the-art theaters, and dedicated spaces for learning and engagement, dining, retail, and events.
