This special exhibit acknowledges President Richard Nixon’s 1974 trip to the Middle East following the conclusion of the Yom Kippur War. At the Skirball Cultural Center the exhibition “DIANE VON FURSTENBERG: WOMAN BEFORE FASHION. The fashion designer is famous for re-inventing  a woman’s dress by creating her iconic wrap dress. That 24 Carat Gold Plated Bathtub Buggy, that made this appearance in Japan driven by Beau Boeckmann, the president and ceo of Galpin Ford, is one of the automotive stars of Sunday’s WILDEST CAR SHOW ON EARTH. You can see that buggy at the Van Nuys custom car show along with this one, the Roach Coach, which is on the West Coast for the first time in 40-years.
