Yes! The LEAD WITH LOVE TELETHON is happening tonight on KTLA, Channel 5, benefiting the award-winning non-profit organization Project Angel Food, providing medically tailored meals to the critically ill as well as victims of the Altadena wildfire.

In addition to preparing for tonight’s telethon and preparing meals for the critically ill, construction continues for a larger Project Angel Food kitchen to meet the growing community need to provide free meals for the sick and shut in. Donations make all of this possible. We can donate now on the website: angelfood.org or we can use the QR Code that’s on the screen. The fun and information of the LEAD WITH LOVE TELETHON begins tonight at 7pm right here on Channel 5.

GUY DILL: NOMAD is now on view at the Laguna Art Museum. This exhibition contains 16 never-before-seen sculptures by acclaimed California sculptor Guy Dill. Laguna Art Museum officials tell us this is his first new body of work since the pandemic and a bold material departure from his signature bronze forms. These raw, abstract pieces are crafted in plaster, wood, and concrete.

Visitor information is on the website: lagunaartmuseum.org.

This is the WORLD OF THE TERRACOTTA WARRIORS:  NEW ARCHAEOLOGICAL DISCOVERIES IN SHAANXI IN THE 21ST CENTURY. The new Bowers Museum exhibition contains more than 115 newly uncovered treasures including Terracotta Warriors, chariot regalia, jade and gold adornments, bronze vessels and more discovered in Shaanxi, China.

These new discoveries on display in Santa Ana augment what is currently known about the first emperor of China Qin Shi Huang, credited with unifying China and initiating the initial construction of the Great Wall of China.

The bowers.org website has visitor and ticket information.

Oh! by the way, today, from 11am until noon, we can meet jewelry designer Chumki De Sarkar at the Bowers to learn about the artistry and sustainability of terracotta jewelry, considered one of the oldest forms of adornment in the world. Again, details are on the bowers.org website.

So, let’s make this a “new discoveries” Saturday. Gayle Anderson, KTLA 5 News.
