The California Highway Patrol has deactivated a Silver Alert for a 91-year-old woman who was reported missing out of Long Beach.

Geneva Lillian Habbary was last seen around 7:20 a.m. Thursday after leaving her living facility on the 3100 block of East Artesia Boulevard.

By around 6:40 p.m., the CHP announced that she was located and the Silver Alert had been deactivated.

Her disappearance came as much of Southern California is experiencing above average temperatures, including Los Angeles County, which is facing a fire warning from the National Weather Service, and the potential for a heat advisory.

As of 4:30 p.m., the temperature at the Long Beach Airport was 90 degrees.

The CHP is the agency responsible for issuing Silver Alerts, which are activated when an elderly person, or someone with cognitive or developmental impairments is reported missing and is believed to be at-risk. For more information, click here.
