Two people died Thursday morning after their vehicle was hit by a Metrolink train in the City of Industry.

The collision occurred at about 8 a.m. near the intersection of Rose Hills Road and Capitol Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s and Fire departments.

A southbound Metrolink train struck the vehicle, killing the driver and passenger at the scene.

Two others were taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries, the Fire Department said.

Three train passengers “complained of pain but had no visible injuries,” the Sheriff’s Department said.
