Two people were killed when a pickup truck crossed the center divider on a freeway in Rialto and smashed head-on into multiple other vehicles on Friday.

Just before 6:15 p.m., a white Ford F-150 headed west on the 10 Freeway crossed into eastbound traffic, resulting in the deaths of a 46-year-old Redlands woman who was driving a Scion XD and a 54-year-old Grand Terrace man who was driving a Tesla Model 3, the California Highway Patrol said in a news release.

“In total, five vehicles were involved in the collision, including a silver Toyota Echo and a white Ford Explorer,” the CHP added.

The driver of the pickup has not been identified or charged with a crime as of Tuesday morning.

The investigation into the crash’s cause is ongoing.
