Two suspects were arrested in connection with the deadly shooting of a teenager in Riverside.

They were identified as Francisco Gallegos, 20, and Bryan Torres-Arroyo, 21, according to the Riverside Police Department.

On May 28, 2023, police responded to a shooting in an alleyway near Chicago Avenue and Linden Street around 5:13 p.m.

Officers found two teen boys, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to the hospital.

The 18-year-old, later identified as Isaiah Arviso of Riverside, died from his injuries. The other teen survived. Both suspects fled the scene before police arrived.

“Detectives initially had a limited suspect description and exhausted all available leads, as this shooting appeared to be gang-related,” Riverside police said.
