After evading capture for months, two teenagers were arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Riverside County.

The suspects were identified as Jaylin Solomon, 18, of Moreno Valley, and a 17-year-old male whose identity was withheld due to his juvenile status, according to the Perris Sheriff’s Station.

On Aug. 15, deputies responded to a robbery on the 1000 block of Laguna Street in Perris shortly after 5:30 p.m.

The pair had approached the victim at gunpoint before stealing their jewelry and fleeing the scene. Authorities searched the area but could not locate the suspects.

Following a monthslong investigation, on Oct. 6, detectives located the 17-year-old suspect on the 900 block of Morgan Street in Perris, where he was taken into custody. He was booked into Juvenile Hall for robbery.

Over a week later, on Oct. 15, Solomon was arrested in the 100 block of East Emporia Street in Ontario. He was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for robbery.

No further details were released as the case remains under investigation.
