The California Highway Patrol has canceled an Amber Alert issued Wednesday afternoon in regards to a 3-year-old boy who was purportedly abducted.
CHP officials say Tyshawn Tucker was last seen around 1 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Compton Avenue and East Imperial Highway in Watts.
An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday, with details that the 3-year-old was believed to be with 29-year-old Ervin Tucker Jr.
While sharing the same last name, CHP officials did not disclose their potential familial relationship, and the boy’s disappearance was being described as an abduction.
By 4 p.m., the CHP announced that the Amber Alert had been deactivated and Tyshawn Tucker had been located.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact local authorities.
