An American Airlines flight declared an emergency shortly after takeoff, forcing the crew and passengers to return to Los Angeles International Airport early Friday morning.

Video showed Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting units from the Los Angeles Fire Department responding to runway 25L to inspect Flight 1445 after it safely landed around 2 a.m.

The plane was en route to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport when an emergency was declared, prompting the crew to divert back to LAX, freelance media firm KNN reported.
