A suspect is on the loose after a man was found with fatal stab wounds outside a grocery store in Brentwood Tuesday night.

Police were called to the 11700 block of San Vicente Boulevard for a reported stabbing near the Whole Foods Market around 9 p.m.

Arriving officers found a 39-year-old man down on the ground suffering from multiple stab wounds, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to KTLA.

The victim, identified only as a veteran who was possibly homeless, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
