Authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who was found dead in Rancho Cucamonga.
On Aug. 15, San Bernardino County deputies responded to reports of a crash on Foothill Boulevard near the 15 Freeway shortly before midnight.
The male victim was under an overpass when he was struck and killed by a vehicle, investigators said. The driver fled the scene.
The victim did not have any personal belongings to help deputies identify him and authorities have exhausted their leads. On Sept. 19, officials renewed the call for the public’s help.

He is described as a man around 25-35 years old who is 5 feet 3 inches tall and 129 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes with a mustache and chin hair. He was found wearing a denim jacket, a sweatshirt, a black t-shirt and black jeans.
He has a tattoo in the shape of the Playboy bunny on his left wrist. Investigators have released a photo of him in hopes that the public may recognize the man.
Anyone who recognizes him or has information on the case is asked to call the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Coroner Division at 909-387-2978 and reference case #702505469.
