An investigation is underway after a body was found in the back of a U-Haul truck in Riverside Saturday.
Riverside police responded to a commercial area near 2646 Alessandro Boulevard at 10 a.m.
The truck was parked near an Arco gas station and inside, officers discovered a man’s body.
Although police said there were no obvious signs of trauma, the death is being investigated as suspicious. It also appears the body may have been inside the truck for several days.
A cause of death will be determined by the coroner’s office. Investigators are also checking nearby surveillance cameras. No further details, including the victim’s name or a possible suspect description, were released.
