Los Angeles County Fire Department officials battled another brush fire Tuesday afternoon, though they were able to get it under control in about two hours.

The Bert Fire, which began at the Old Road and Biscailuz Drive in Castaic, was up to 47 acres by about 3:45 p.m., Cal Fire said, though by 4:05 p.m., forward progress had been stopped, and the blaze remained at that size.

The Santa Clarita Valley Signal reports that the fire was sparked just before 2 p.m., though it had grown to 25 acres in size by about 2:30 p.m., the Fire Department said on social media.
