Multiple lanes of the 101 Freeway near downtown Los Angeles were closed for a stretch of Friday morning.
Citing “emergency repairs” required for a bridge joint on the southbound 101 Freeway near Temple Street, Caltrans said just after 9:30 a.m. that they had to close three lanes.

“All southbound traffic was diverted to I-110,” the agency added. “Estimated duration is 4 hours.”
By shortly after 11 a.m., however, aerial footage from Sky5 showed traffic moving normally. Caltrans confirmed that information early Friday afternoon.
