A motorcyclist hitting speeds of 140 miles per hour on Southern California freeways was taken into custody by officers with the California Highway Patrol after a dangerous pursuit. 

It’s unclear exactly where the pursuit was initiated, but the suspect was leading authorities in chase near Baldwin Park shortly after the pursuit started.

While in lanes of the eastbound 210 Freeway, the suspect hit speeds up to 130 miles per hour, exiting the freeway for a moment and then getting back on with CHP cruisers trailing at a close distance.  

Not long after the pursuit started, the suspect pulled off the freeway at Sunland, where he was quickly surrounded by officers and taken into custody.
