The body of a missing man was recovered in the waters off of Dana Point on Friday.

Andrew Broughton, 62, was last spotted on Monday headed toward his boat in the Dana Point Harbor.

Family members alerted authorities to Broughton’s disappearance after they found his dog and wallet on the boat, but not Broughton himself.

On Friday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department told KTLA’s Chip Yost that Broughton’s body was located in the area that was searched beginning on Thursday.

It’s unclear how Broughton ended up in the water, however no foul play is suspected in his death.
