Authorities are looking into a fatal shooting near a Metro station in L.A.’s Leimert Park neighborhood. 

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were dispatched to 4330 Crenshaw Boulevard on calls of a shooting around 12:18 a.m. Saturday. 

The shooting took place near the Leimert Park Metro station; a Metro spokesperson confirmed to KTLA that the shooting occurred near the K line station, but not on their property. 

Upon arriving at the location, the officers located a man with multiple gunshot wounds.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as a 36-year-old Black man, LAPD stated. 

Officials confirmed that the shooting is gang related.  A description of a suspect or suspects was not immediately available.
